MECHMAN 240 AMP LARGE CASE ALTERNATOR FOR GM LS TRUCK/SUV, OVAL 4-PIN 96-04 CONNETOR, This 240 amp alternator for 1996-2004 GM trucks and SUV’s cranks out tons of power at a great price. This unit features a solid copper positive rectifier plate, with (6) oversize 65 amp press fit diodes for great durability in daily driven applications. Oversize 8mm positive and ground studs make cabling upgrades a snap, while the included 1.75 inch diameter overdrive pulley ensures a solid 140+ amps at engine idle RPM! NOTE: This alternator will require a slightly shorter than stock length belt in most applications. Shorter belts can easily be purchased from your local autoparts store. This unit is not recommended for racing use above 5,500 engine RPM.
